Scotty McCreery wins “American Idol 2011”, kiss Lauren Alaina on the lips after the announcement (Video)

Scotty McCreery was voted as the "American Idol' 2011" winner, and was seen kissing Lauren Alaina on the lips after the announcement, as shown in the video below.

As revealed by show host Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday, May 25, Scotty McCreery won the "American Idol' 2011" with the show getting the highest votes ever, reaching more than 22.4 million.

"It's been a year since me and Lauren Alaina tried out now. We've been together since day one and we're going to stay together." Scotty McCreery said, who kissed Lauren Alaina on the lips after the announcement.

"This is just never in my wildest dreams. I gotta thank the Lord first. He got me here." The 17-year old country singer from North Carolina added, who is only one year older than Lauren.

Incidentally, Lady Gaga is among the special guests on the grand finale show, who sang her new single "The Edge of Glory" and probably her best performance to date.

Beyonce made a performance debut for her piano-driven ballad "1+1," a new song from her forthcoming album "4." Tom Jones sang his classic song “It’s Not Unusual”.

Other performers were U2's Bono and The Edge who sang together a “Superman” song. Judge Steven Tyler took the piano and rendered an Aerosmith classic, “Dream on”.

Meanwhile, previously eliminated Idol finalists appeared on the show’s grand finale and performed with some of the countery’s great singers, live on stage.

Haley Reinhart had a duet with Tony Bennett and sang the latter’s song "Steppin' Out With My Baby”. Casey Abrams and Jack Black sang Queen’s Fat Bottomed Girls."

Jacob Lusk sang "I Smile" with gospel star Kirk Franklin and Gladys Knight, James Durbin rocked with Judas Priest as they sang "After Midnight".

American Idol 2011 second placer Lauren Alaina, who had a throat problem on Wednesday, had a duet with Carrie Underwood, sang "Before He Cheats."

"American Idol' 2011" winner Scotty McCreery, who sang his debut single, "I Love You This Big, sang alongside Tim McGraw, as the they performed McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying."
