David Letterman Scandal: CBS Producer pleaded Not Guilty

CBS producer Robert Joel Halderman pleaded not guilty in front of a Manhattan court room last Friday. This was after he was accused of trying to extort $2 million from David Letterman last month. Allegedly, he will disclose to the public the sexual relationships of Letterman with his show staffers if he will not get the money.

On his program last Thursday, the funnyman talk show host admitted on his show that had sex with female co-workers. Letterman also mentioned that he testified to the court and "tell them all the creepy things I have done."

"I have had sex with women who work on this show," David Letterman said. "Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would, especially for the women."

This is not the first time David Letterman was on the spotlight. In the 1980s, he had a stalker a woman with schizophrenia who often broke into his home. In 2005, there was a plot to kidnap his then-toddler son. The culprit pleaded guilty to lesser charges and was sentenced to 10 years in jail.

Meanwhile, Halderman has been charged of with first-degree attempted grand larceny, and could face five to 15 years in prison if convicted. He has been suspended from his CBS job as a producer.
